How to make jumprings + easy DIY bracelet

Hi there!
So, in this post I’ll share anooother bracelet tutorial I did a while ago, but with the plus of showing you how to make your own jumprings using any wire you have around.
You can use leftovers so you don’t have to throw anything away. How cool is that.

Using a round thing, (I used a marker) start twisting the wire around it, to create sort of a spring, and when you have enough, take it off the marker and, using a wire cutter, cut through the lenght. When you’re done, you’ll have a lot of jumprings to use.

Told you it was easy.

Now the bracelet part.

I used that string because it was the only one available at that time, but if you find a thicker one, I’ll be the better. You won’t have to cut four times the size of your wrist that way, and only use one. But at the end, it doesn’t really make a difference because it’ll be cover with the jumprings, but it’s easier, and more resistent.

With a eye head pin, take the strings inside the loop, close, and pass it through the eye of the end cap, to finally glue it down to secure. Once it’s dry, start adding the jumprings.

To make that, I put a small piece of tape to the other end of the strings because it was easier for me to thread the jumprings this way.
Once you reach the desire lenght, if there’s any excess of string, cut it down. Add the pin to the other end cap and glue it to the string end. I basically put glue everywhere. You’ll never be completely sure, you know.
Add closure and you’re done.

Making the jumprings will take you some time, since you need a lot of them to cover the entire bracelet, but once you learn how to make it, it’s going to be super simple.
